Safest Way To Travel

Safe travel
The activity of traveling is filled with joy, anticipation, and enthusiasm. It may possible that you are traveling to your sister's place to spend Christmas, with your bags packed and all, when you suddenly hear some news channel deafening about a plane crash. You may suddenly feel the blood rushing to your face, and confused, if flying is the safest way to travel? Well, this apprehension may be tolerable to an extent, but it must not get you stressed to an extent that you develop a phobia for traveling.

There are three modes of transport when you travel ―road, air, and sea. Depending on the place, the distance, and the financial aspect, you choose your pick. For instance, if the journey is going to take an hour or two, you go by road. The trains also offer good commuting services. The flights are considered best if the distance is too much, and will take too long by road. A ship or a cruiser is preferred if you are making a trip to an island, and you want to experience your first memorable cruise. The risk of each of these might be overlooked, but cannot be avoided.

The road route is considered to be more unsafe for traveling even after the great number of plane crashes in the United States, pertaining to the number of road accidents every year. For sure, for most of the road kills, people are responsible themselves, as most of them ignore the driving rules, and they also consume plenty of alcohol before driving. The use of mobile phone is another major distraction when traveling by road, which is, many a time, one of the major causes of the accidental deaths. When you consider travelling by air, it would be a better alternative to drive as pilots do not drink before flying, and also no one is allowed to use any electronic device that transmits signals during the flight. Besides, when traveling by air, there are ever ready, enough well prepared and air travel restrictions for facing any issue during the flying, which may come across.

While taking a look at the statistics for 2008, there have been only 0.2 fatal accidents per 1 million departures, which is substantially lower than 1.4 accidents per 1 million departures of 1989. Also, in the approximately 28 accidents which involved large commercial carriers, out of the 10.8 million flights between 2007―2008, except for material damage there has not been any significant human casualty. But if you take a glance at the death statistics by road, about 44,000 people have been killed in car accidents, which is definitely an alarming number of the travelers as well as the highway authorities. But all said and done, I would say, safety comes with a responsibility that comes from within, despite the fact that flying is one of the safest ways to travel, for every person. The traveling by road can be safe if you, make sure that you do not drink and drive. Mobile phones can divert your attention. If your call is that important, then halt by the side of the road and attend to your calls rather than picking it while driving. By public means of transport like flights, pilots need to sure that they do not drink before flying. Before the flight departs, there is a lot of technical staff involved in servicing the plane to assure the safety of the flight. So, from the above, one could draw a conclusion that air travel is probably safer than any other means of travel. The Arik Airways ensures the safety of the flight and the passengers for your safe departure to your destination.

So, if the safest way to travel is asked, I would say if each of them were safe, then each of them would be equally unsafe, depending on time and the circumstance of the traveling. You must be sure you have your travel insurance too, apart from your health being insured. So just keep in mind, 'all's well that ends well'. Put aside your fear and think positive when traveling.
